The Sweet Mangoes and its Impact on Human Health.

 The mangoes are drupe type fruit and it is one of the most consumed tropical fruits. Nature has provided us sessional fruit which contains minerals, vitamins, and different health benefit compounds, that are required for the ongoing session. Mango fruits contain health-related important phytochemicals and have high nutritional value.

All the minerals and vitamins and phytochemicals of mango play an important role in human healths.

 The flavor, nutrients, major amino acids, vitamins, and phytochemicals in mangoes change during the development and postharvest.

 

The Major Health Benefit:

 Mango contains components that can be grouped into (a) macronutrients like; carbohydrate, proteins amino acid, lipids, fatty acid, and organic acid (b) micronutrients like vitamins and minerals(c) phytochemicals like; phenolic, polyphenol, pigments, and volatiles constituents1 all these components of mango have a major role in human health, that are mentioned below:

 

·        Have High Antioxidant Properties:

Since it contains a number of a polyphenolic compound like mangiferin, catechins, anthocyanins, quercetin, kaempferol, rhamnetin, benzoic acid, etc shows antioxidant agents(In our body free radical highly reactive compound generated during the various mechanism of the body metabolism that found to interfere with other reactions and vital phenomena of the body meanwhile damaging the cell). Research link antioxidants to chronic disease and sign of aging.

·        Boost Immunity:

Since mango contains vitamins and minerals that aid immune booster.

Vitamins like A, B, and K  of mango helps to body in developing the Immune system stronger, on the top of this, mango could provide three-quarters of our regular needs of vitamin C.

Vitamin C is an important cofactor involved in the formation of blood vessels, muscle, and collagen in the bone and is vital for the healing process moreover it has been sen that supplementation of vitamin C shortens the duration of cold fever, these properties of the vitamin C  reported to be in the prevention of COVID-192.

Mangiferin got recent attention for its promising anti-cancer effects, it reduced inflammation, colon cancer, prostate cancer, prevents or stopped the growth of cancer cells, or killed them.

·        Helps in healthy heart system:

Mango contains minerals like potassium and magnesium, which regulates the pulse rate and relaxes the vessels, promoting lower blood pressure. Mango contains mangiferin is a good antioxidant, therefore, studies suggest that it may protect heart cells from inflammation.

Mango contains much more important phytochemicals, vitamins, and minerals that are beneficial for the betterment of human organ parts like skin, hair, heart, eyes, blood vessels, and others.

 

NB: Prefer to consume mango raw than to juice.
